SA records highest average October temperatures as El Nino takes hold
Australia
New figures show South Australia experienced October temperatures that were well above average, and more so than at any time since the early 1900s. The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) today released its figures for past month, showing SA temperatures exceeded the monthly average by up to seven degrees. BOM climatologist Shaun Carson said it had been a month of records. "If you can think back 12 months ago, we broke a lot of records for the same time last year going that went right back to 1914...Now here we are 12 months later and exceeding what we did in spring last year."
