How kids, homeless are staying cool in Nashville heat wave

This year's blistering summer made Nashville history Monday, setting an all-time high for June 13 and replacing a 136-year-old record.
The previous mark of 96 degrees was ousted by a degree, after the thermometer topped 97, according to the Nashville National Weather Service. An evening thunderstorm brought cooler temperatures to the area and some relief...
"It's about 10 degrees hotter than normal this season," said National Weather Service meteorologist Scott Unger. "...staying hydrated and limiting outdoor activities is a must"
