Seattle sets heat record for July 4

This July Fourth became the hottest on record in Seattle when the temperature hit 92 degrees, breaking the 1972 record by one degree.

The new high was reached at 5:32 p.m. Saturday at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, according to the National Weather Service in Seattle.
