“We’ve been so dry for so long, and now that you’re seeing cool mornings, there’s a lot of vegetation that will dry out pretty quick, so you can get a vast number of small fires developing really quickly on days like today,” says Jason Dunn, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office.
