‘I’m about 20 feet up a tree,’ Texas flood victim tells news anchors during shocking interview

When a pair of news anchors covering powerful storms in Texas began interviewing a flood victim on air on Friday, they assumed he was safe and dry on land. Little did they know that Kerry Packer was stuck “about 20 feet up a tree,” as the longtime Boy Scout informed the shocked hosts almost a minute into their interview. “Wait, you’re still in the tree?” a stunned ABC affiliate KVUE anchor Brian May asked....Packer was caught in flooding in the Austin area, he told the anchors...his car was swept half a mile downstream in fast-moving floodwater.
