There is an Excessive Heat Warning in effect for much of the Valley as the temperature is expected to reach 108 degrees on Sunday. Forecasters are looking at the possibility of a repeat of last summer, which ended up as the warmest summer in Phoenix history.
There were 110 days where the temperature reached 100 degrees or higher. Of those days, the temperature hit 110 or higher 19 times.
The National Weather Service's Phoenix office says that this is going to be the warmest weekend of the year.
