Heat Wave Hits Gujarat, Amraoti in Vidarbha Hottest at 42.2°C

Parts of India are already starting to warm up to summer.
States like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and Telangana are starting to see spiking temperatures breaching the 40°C mark consistently. Wednesday’s highest temperature was recorded at Amraoti in Vidarbha, Maharashtra, where the maximum temperature was 42.2°C.
Heat wave conditions were observed in Saurashtra and Kutch regions of Gujarat, said the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in its heat wave bulletin. Porbandar, Diu and New Kandla were some of the cities caught in the heat wave.
