There was little respite from the blazing heat wave conditions across Gujarat as temperatures remained over 42 degrees Celsius in 16 towns and cities.

Severe heatwave conditions prevailed across Saurashtra with Rajkot scorching at 44 degrees, Surendranagar at 44.7 degrees and Amreli clocking 44.6 degrees.
