According to Cal Fire Operations Section Chief Charlie Blankenheim Saturday morning, “the Ranch Fire had some explosive growth yesterday, and made a seven or eight mile run” east to the north side of the Indian Valley Reservoir.
That growth not only added more than 41,000 acres to the Ranch Fire alone overnight, but destroyed 14 structures and threatened 3,100 more, with containment levels remaining relatively unchanged since Friday evening.
