          The weekend heat wave toppled a nearly 60-year-old record for early June, according to National Weather Service figures.
A high of 85 degrees registered at 3:53 p.m. Sunday, June 5, at Bellingham International Airport. It nudged past the high of 84 degrees set June 5, 1958. Saturday’s high of 82 fell short of the record high of 84 for June 4, 2009
