More Than 50 Tornadoes Hit the Southeast in February

An increase in tornadoes is consistent with the warmer, wetter world created by climate change. Particularly large and unprecedented tornado events may represent the results of climate disruption, but poor quality records over the last century mean long-term tornado trends remain unclear.
